South Florida rock band trying to bring excellent rock and roll to everyone.

What does that mean?

It's good to see what the roots of our post modern day rock is.

Rock and roll (often written as rock & roll, rock 'n' roll, or rock 'n roll) is a genre of popular music that evolved in the United States during the late 1940s and early 1950s. It originated from black American music such as gospel, jump blues, jazz, boogie woogie, rhythm and blues, as well as country music.

The rock we know today was shaped mostly by John Lennon of the Beatles (ouch, I hear the Elvis fans screaming). You may have read Kurt Cobain's (of Nirvana) songwriting compared to John Lennon's.

John loved this new very cool music. He especially loved Chuck Berry.

The Beatles were a working band at a port in Munich in Germany playing a lot of covers. George Harrison (Beatles' guitarist) said that the time playing those venues helped them with their abilities and even songwriting abilities.

John was the first to write the songs for the Beatles. It really was rock and roll. Many dismiss these early tunes as old and cheesy, which is sad. No one says Mozart is passe. It stands out and is enjoyed today because it rocks, yes; Mozart, too.

We, Daylight Disc love good music. We try to make beautiful music and hope you enjoy it, too.

Thanks for checking us out. More new music is on the way and soon. See you then.
